The bets are high that during the recent Christmas time you picked up packs of Christmas cards in the shop and tried to find appropriate wishes for family, friends and colleagues. And what a variety of wishes: some illustrated with cute puppy-eyed puppies and playful kittens, angelic choristers, chubby angels, Mary with a halo, a fat baby with a halo, party scenes and champagne, holly and ivy and Christmas trees, etc. And clever, silly, witty or wise words to match the pictures. And – of course! lots of Christmas cards adorned with SNOW-scenes. (We just could never identify with all this snow in sweltering Christmas times in South Africa!)
Here is wishing you and ourselves - a month too late - a WHITE Christmas:
"'Come now, and let us reason together,' says the Lord, 'Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow'" (Isaiah 1:18).
"And she will bring forth a Son and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins." (Matthew 1:21).
