So....today comparisons for window-privacy, optimal space usage, the occasional need to use something like having the use of a Whiz freedom. What about mosquito nets or would that be midge-nets in Scotland? Suddenly our purchase of waterproof bags which we used on our bicycle trek around the Isle of White seem to have some use. Could we secure them with some stuff in on the roof-rack. Would that be safe?
Tonight we have placed an order with Amazon for the very basic necessities - like a foil blanket, anti-midge net (need to figure out how to stick this to an open window with velcro), two camping towels and two square cooking pans with fold-away.
Car-Camping Tips for today:
- Toilet paper remove the cardboard roll so it could be compressed)
- If overnighting in a more public place - hide your shoes! And don't fear a suggestion to move on - just smile nicely and do so.
- Teflon pans only require wiping with a paper towel and some sterilization.
I'm also trying to think of what would make things "luxurious" - maybe really nice curtaining, we are sure to have materials somewhere. Heavy-duty binder-clips could be handy as a no-peg washing line and camping towels. Of course we want to smell and be good and clean and fresh - tra-la-la!
And what to do about sufficient ventilation if it rains?
Yes, maybe we should first take the Hammy for a trial run - or is it more us for a trial run. Then again, would every adventure not be different. Still accumulated improvements not be a good things?
In the mean time we are enjoying our Edinburgh - hahaha when the sun shines!
The Castle always surprises and as for South Africans......chimneys never cease to charm us.
Actually these couple of miles took us for our first look at the Ahambra Seat. We haven't had a new car for a very long time, so it's a lovely adjustment and we feel and are totally undeserving and thank our Father in Heaven with grateful hearts!
