An excitement that is mixed with deep thankfulness: after much searching, praying, planning, we spotted what seems to be just the kind of vehicle that will match some of our hopes. We see it as an answer to prayer. And a real relief that we would not have to take any seats out to fit in a mattress in the back, long enough for Gordon's 6' 4" frame.
Today we had some thoughts on christening the Seat Ahambra "Hammy". We're really quite glad that the days are getting longer in Scotland and with that also somewhat warmer and that our initial planning for camping in Hammy would not include too much insulation.
Our outlook is to keep things really simple. Of course it's going to take some trial and hopefully not too much error. And we are definitely going to need a sense of adventure! Hammy is at present somewhere near Stirling and we will probably, God-willing, bring him home by the 26th or 27th of May.
In the mean time we need to work at selling our very faithful old Citroen before it's going to cost us any extra money.
Here is a picture from a magazine. We believe our Hammy is white and we have been praying that we will be responsible, generous with him and have times of rest and adventure in the future and just reliable service as a form of transport.
Praise the Lord for His great kindness!
